Priyanka Chopra hosted a pre-Oscar party to celebrate South Asian excellence. Photos and videos of this incredible event have surfaced online. Actress Preity Zinta, who was also part of the pre-Oscar party, shared many indoor photos on Instagram. The opening side features Preity and Jr NTR. The song Naatu Naatu, with Jr NTR and Ram Charan from the film RRR, earned a nomination in the Best Original Song category. Next, we have a look at Jacqueline Fernandez. In one of the photos, Preity shares the frame with husband Gene Goodenough, Guneet Monga, whose documentary The Elephant Whisperers earned an Oscar nomination this year, Achin Jain and others. Along with the photos, Preity wrote, “Big shout out to all the Oscar nominees I met last night. I’m crossing my fingers for you all. Thank you, Priyanka Chopra and Anjula Acharia, for bringing the South Asian artistic community together and celebrating everyone’s accomplishments. It was such a fun evening.
For Preity Zinta, the celebration of South Asian Excellence was “special”. Whether it’s meeting old friends or making new ones, the actress clearly had a blast. Her album features Malala Yousafzai, fashion designer Falguni Peacock, and I have never stars Poorna Jagannathan and Megan Suri among others. Shouting out to all the women, Preity wrote, “From meeting old friends to making new ones, last night was so special. Nothing is sexier and more beautiful than an independent, powerful and talented woman. Bravo to all these beautiful ladies who are in these photos and who were at the party. I chatted, joked and got completely silly with most of them and loved every moment because real women don’t compete – they support and empower each other and have fun together.
Jr NTR also shared some photos on Instagram. The actor looks dapper in a finely tailored suit. Along with the photos, he wrote, “Just…”
The 95th Academy Awards will take place at the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood, Los Angeles on March 12 (morning of March 13 in India).
