Kylie Jenner revealed in January that she and Travis Scott decided to name their son Aire after dropping his original nickname last year.
And now the former couple are asking for the one-year-old’s name to be legally changed from Wolfe Jacques Webster to Aire Webster, according to TMZ.
The outlet reports that Kylie, 25, and Travis, 30, agree to the name change and have both signed the petition.
In the legal documents, the duo explained that they “regret the initial choice of the name Wolf Jacques Webster” and that Aire was “better suited” for their baby.
“Now that the petitioners have had a chance to spend some time with their baby, they think the name Aire Webster suits them better.”
Aire was born on February 2, 2022 and is Kylie and Travis’ second child.
The exes also share a five-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster.
Kylie and Travis’ on/off romance began in 2017 after they crossed paths at the Coachella Valley Music Festival, where the rapper was performing.
Less than a year later, they welcomed their daughter Stormi on February 1, 2018.
They first separated in October 2019 but have remained committed to co-parenting Stormi.
Kylie later called the hitmaker her “best friend” in a 2020 Harper’s Bazaar interview.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder also revealed their mutual love for their daughter keeps them “connected and coordinated.”
Her own parents split in 2015, Kylie said she often uses mum Kris and dad Caitlyn’s friendly co-parenting relationship as an example.
“They’ve been very active with me, and I want the same for Stormi.”
It was reported at the time that Kylie and Travis had joint custody of their baby girl.
The couple rekindled their romance in May 2021 after reconnecting during the COVID-19 lockdown.
There were rumors that they actually reconciled in 2020, but Kylie’s nephew Mason Disick shut down the speculation during an Instagram Live that year.
In September 2021, Kylie revealed that she and Travis were expecting their second child together.
She did so by sharing a video showing off her burgeoning baby bump, along with footage of when they found out she was pregnant.
Kylie also took fans on her first ultrasound appointment, giving them a glimpse of the baby.
She began documenting the growth of her bump on Instagram, which was a major contrast to her very private pregnancy with Stormi.
But her baby news was overshadowed by the tragedy that took place in November 2021 at the Astroworld festival in Travis, Texas, where a massive wave of crowds claimed the lives of 10 spectators.
From then on, Kylie kept a low profile on social media, including a seven-week hiatus from Instagram.
But on February 6, 2022, Kylie used the app to confirm she had given birth to a baby boy.
She captioned the post with her date of birth, “2/2/22,” preceded by the blue heart to indicate the gender of her second child.
It was accompanied by a cute black and white photo showing the little hand of her new son.
It seemed to show Stormi’s hand gripping the little baby’s wrist as he clenched his little fingers into a fist.
A few days later, Kylie announced that they had named their newborn Wolf.
But just over a month later, she shocked fans by revealing they had decided to drop the moniker.
‘For your information [son’s] my name is no longer Wolf,’ the Los Angeles-born makeup mogul wrote. “We just didn’t feel like it was him. I just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.
Over the months, Kylie and Travis failed to reveal a replacement name and it was reported that they were “struggling” to pick the right one.
They also hid their child’s face on social media.
But in The Kardashians season 2 finale, which aired in November, Kylie said her son’s name was still Wolf.
“My baby’s name is still Wolf. I’ll let you know when I change it. Maybe I’ll tell you in Season 3,’ Kylie said during a confessional at the end of the episode.
In December, Kylie and Travis broke up for the second time following allegations that he cheated on her with an Instagram model.
The Astroworld star vehemently denied the alleged affair and claimed not to know the woman.
In January 2023, the founder of Kylie Baby revealed for the first time the face of their son as well as his new first name.
Kylie uploaded a series of photos to Instagram and wrote the simple caption, “Aire”, to announce her son’s new name to her 378 million fans and followers.
Although she’s a doting mother to her two children, she recently told Vanity Fair Italy that she struggled with postpartum depression during both pregnancies.
She said her first bout with the disease was “very difficult”, but her second bout was “more manageable”.
Kylie then offered advice to new mums going through the “painful” experience.
“I would tell these women not to think too much and fully experience all the emotions of this moment. Stay inside this moment, even if it’s painful,” she said.
“I know, in those moments, you think it will never pass, that your body will never be the same as before, that you will never be the same again.”
She continued, “It’s not true: the hormones, the emotions at this point are much, much more powerful and bigger than you. My advice is to live this transition, without fearing the consequences.
“The risk is also to miss out on all the best things about motherhood.”
Kylie recently showed off her enviable post-baby body at this weekend’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party which she attended with big sister Kendall Jenner, 27.
She previously revealed she gained 60 pounds during her second pregnancy, which she burned off by engaging in a daily exercise regimen.
Kylie has pledged to stay “healthy and patient” as she strives to get back to her pre-baby body instead of using extreme measures to lose weight.
