Carrie Underwood received a cheesecake for her 40th birthday.
The former American Idol winner, who celebrated her birthday on Friday, shared several images on her Instagram Story to show how her family chose to commemorate her special day.
The hitmaker, who recently revealed she has a washer/dryer in her walk-in closet, humorously wrote that she felt “understood” by those close to her in graphic text that was added to one of her posts.
Underwood posted a selfie of herself posing next to what she described as “about 70 pounds of cheese.”
The performer kept it casual in a snap while rocking a black button-up shirt, and her gorgeous blonde hair fell to her shoulders.
The Inside Your Heaven singer also showed off what she called “a lifetime’s worth of wines from 1983,” which was arranged around her cheesecake.
She then shared notes given to her by her sons Jake and Isaiah, aged eight and four, detailing what they loved about their mother.
Underwood shares her children with husband Mike Fisher, who she started dating in 2008.
The couple then married in a wedding ceremony that took place in Georgia in 2010.
The couple then started a family with the arrival of Jake, which came in February 2015.
The singer and her husband then added Isaiah to their lives in January 2019.
Although she seemed to enjoy chilling out with her family, Underwood recently released a new single titled Out Of That Truck.
The hit singer released her new song on Friday in commemoration of her birthday.
The singer’s latest album, titled Denim & Rhinestones, was released last June.
Lyrically, Underwood’s new single centers on dealing with a recent breakup.
The performer shared an excerpt from the song, as well as its cover, on his Instagram account on Thursday.
She later posted a making-of clip that showed her recording the track at a studio on her account the following day.
