5-word statement from LeBron James for the Lakers after his victory over the Raptors

LeBron James couldn’t hide his joy as the Los Angeles Lakers continued their climb up the Western Conference standings.

On Friday, the Lakers beat the Toronto Raptors 122-112 behind big plays from D’Angelo Russell and Dennis Schroder. Despite Anthony Davis struggling in the contest, that hasn’t slowed down the Violet and Gold who have now won their last two games and seven of their last 10.

Darvin Ham’s men improved to 33-34 during the campaign, good for ninth place in the West and just one game behind the sixth-seeded Dallas Mavericks.

Naturally, LeBron was excited by the Lakers’ last victory. He’s staying out as he recovers from a troublesome foot injury, but the rest of the team is really doing everything they can to improve their chances of making the playoffs.

“Man I love this team!!!” LeBron wrote on Twitter.

The Lakers have finally turned a corner after their horrible 5-0 start to the season. They have a real shot at making the playoffs with an automatic qualifying spot, and even the absence of LeBron James doesn’t affect their confidence in their bid to end the season on a high.

It remains to be seen when LeBron can return and help the Lakers in their quest for the playoffs, but his teammates are certainly buying him plenty of time to focus on his recovery. Hopefully James can join the Los Angeles roster sooner rather than later and join in the celebrations on the court as LA continues to win.
