Question 791 March 2013

In-vehicle tracker and speeding - discipline linked

Our White and Grey fleet vehicles are fitted with trackers which gives us visibility of the vehicle performance, including speed. We have now become aware that this can be used to identify situations where drivers are breaking national speed limits. We are considering what actions we should be looking to introduce. I would be interested to hear from any member who has a speeding policy and a disciplinary system that links specifically to speeding cases, which have been collected from an In-vehicle tracker.
