Director's responsibilities for Health & Safety

Following the publication of HSE document INDG 343 (Director's
responsibilities for Health & Safety), how have companies responded to the
recommendation to appoint a plc board "Health & Safety Director" and we are
particularly interested to know if this role has been given to the
Chief Executive, HR director, Operations Director, a new post or other
Director.
