Question 775 July 2012

Cycling for work

We currently have a policy of not allowing employees to cycle for work business (however we encourage cycling for the usual commute through cycle2work programs etc).

Do businesses have a similar policy or do they allow employees to use bicycles to travel on company business?

If they do allow cycling, do they say 'not in some particular areas' (i.e. central london?) and do they have a mileage cap?
