Question 656 February 2009

Banned professional drivers – return to work

How do members treat recently banned professional drivers on their return to duties after the ban has expired?

The options I am considering are:

Allowing them to return immediately after the ban has elapsed.
Return after any points relating to the offence have come off the licence.
Never employ them again as professional drivers.

Would members please share any policies they have on the matter.

Many thanks
