Occ Road Risk - Identifying and Managing 'grey' fleet

To manage our duty of care, can any company advise what information we should confirm from those claiming business mileage on privately owned vehicles (grey fleet). Do you regard it as sufficient to establish that they have read the company Driving Policy or would you ask them to confirm that they have: 1) a valid driving licence, 2) business use insurance and 3) an MOT?
