Managing redundant electrical equipment - cost effectively.

How do members manage electrical equipment which is either not currently required or has been superseded but is still stored in a vacant part of the premises and not PAT tested to reduce the costs of removal or testing. There is the possibility that a member of staff may take an untested item for reuse.

Current options considered to manage this are:


identify this equipment and stick an untested label on it

remove/cut off all leads
