Reducing Noise at Source

As a company we use pneumatic percussive tools (riveting tools) on large aluminium sheets and generate noise over 108dB(A) and peak approx 118dB. Would any member care to share their experience in reducing noise at source by engineering methods i.e. tooling and damping of reverberating panels etc.
