3rd Party Contracts - Protecting Employees Working As Advisors

Does anyone have experience of working as advisors as part of a 3rd party contract e.g. supplying process equipment and technical expertise to a customer, if so, what would they include in the contract to protect their own employees?

Would they have a special policy included within the contract or some special contractual rules?
